Why Tayrish

A local outfit, not a call centre.

You get the person who does the work, not a booking agent. That means straight answers about what a door actually needs, and a price that does not change once the van arrives.

  • We come and look. Openings get measured, not guessed from a photo.
  • Repair before replace. If a spring or a cable will fix it, we say so.
  • After hours. A door stuck open is a security problem, so we answer at night.
  • Everything in one place. Door, frame, motor and remotes from one team.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises.

  1. 01

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a picture of the door and roughly what it is doing. Most problems are recognisable straight away.

  2. 02

    We come and measure

For a new door we measure the opening on site. For a repair we confirm the part before quoting.

  3. 03

    You get a price

A clear figure for the work, the parts and the fitting. Approve it and we book the date.

  4. 04

    We fit and test

Door hung, motor set, remotes paired, manual release shown to you before we leave.

Questions

The things people ask us first.

How much does a new garage door cost?
It depends on the size of the opening, the door type and whether a motor is included. A single sectional door costs less than a double, and a roll-up differs again. Send us the width and height of the opening on WhatsApp and we will give you a realistic figure before anyone comes out.
My door will not open. Is it the motor?
Often it is not. If the door feels extremely heavy by hand, it is usually a broken spring rather than the motor. If the motor hums but nothing moves, that points somewhere else again. Either way it is a repair, not a new door.
Can you automate a door I already have?
Usually yes. Most doors in reasonable condition can take a motor without being replaced. We check the balance and the tracks first, because putting a motor on a door that is fighting itself only breaks the motor.
Do you really work after hours?
Yes. A garage door stuck open is a security problem, not something that waits until Monday. Call 071 091 9429 and we will tell you honestly whether it needs someone tonight or whether it can safely wait.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based on 436 Klipfontein Road and work across Cape Town and surrounds. If you are further out, ask — it depends on the size of the job.
Can you supply extra remotes?
Yes. We supply and code remotes to your existing motor. Let us know the make of the motor, or send a photo of it, and we will confirm what you need.

Same day where we can

Tell us what the door is doing and we’ll tell you what it needs.

A photo and a rough idea of the problem on WhatsApp is usually enough for us to say whether it is a spring, a motor or a new door.
